The Flagler County Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit direct-support organization committed to generating financial support and enhancing educational programs that benefit students and teachers in the Flagler County Public School District. The Flagler County Education Foundation has several core programs we fund and manage, also working closely with the school district to ensure the success of other programs. Our Ein #59-3006312.
The Flagler County Public School District is lead by our inspiring Superintendent, Bill Delbrugge, and our hard working School Board.
Flagler County is a unique community nestled in a beautiful setting with a relaxed feel and none of the hustle and bustle of a fast-paced city. Flagler County is an outdoor enthusiasts' dream come true with beautiful beaches, unspoiled parks, countless trails to hike, bike or horseback ride, and miles of canals for kayaking, canoeing and boating. Here, nature is our playground. At first glance one might perceive that this is a prosperous community, but in fact many of our citizens face severe economic challenges. Our district is comprised of over 13,000 K-12 students from over 45 different countries speaking 35 languages. Currently, 51 percent of our student population qualifies for free & reduced lunch, and Flagler County has the second highest unemployment rate in the state at over 17 percent, with a corresponding student poverty level of over 50 percent. With a population of over 85,000 in Flagler County and between K-12 with over 13,000 students and Adult & Community Education with over 12,000 students we touch an extremely large population within our community.
