Check: The simplest way to make a gift to the Flagler County Education Foundation is to send a check.   In addition to assisting our programs, you will be entitled to an income tax charitable deduction and a letter for tax purposes will be sent right away. Please make it payable to Flagler County Education Foundation, and mail to 1769 E. Moody Blvd. Bldg. 2, Bunnell FL., 32110

Credit Card Gifts: If you wish to make a credit card gift, please visit the donation button on this website.  It will take you to a secure PayPal Account set-up for your convenience.

Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds:  There is usually a greater tax advantage by giving appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual funds rather than cash.  By donating gifts of appreciated property (items that have increased in value over time) you eliminate capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction based on the full market value of your gift.

Real Estate: Residential, vacation, or commercial property may be appropriate to use in making a gift to the Flagler County Education Foundation.  A gift of real estate that has appreciated in value can provide the same tax advantage as a gift of appreciated securities, which could mean a deduction on your federal income tax return and avoidance of capital gains taxes on increased value. A comprehensive written appraisal, arranged and paid for by the donor, is required to substantiate the value of the property for tax purposes.

Gifts Through Your Will:  Making a bequest through your will is one of the easiest ways to show support. A charitable bequest is fully deductible for estate tax purposes and can be made in several ways:

  • A specific dollar amount or asset.
  • A percentage (or all) of your entire estate.
  • A percentage (or all) of your residuary estate (the property remaining after other terms of your will have been satisfied.)

A bequest can be designated for a restricted purpose or may be unrestricted.  If you are thinking about restricting your bequest, please contact us to set-up a meeting with our Director of Finance for Flagler County Public Schools and the Education Foundation's Board President. We will show you sample bequests and walk you through the process. It is important to understand your desires and to have the opportunity to confirm the feasibility of your proposal.

There are more ways in which you can make education a priority, please contact us and we will sit down to discuss all options and more!
