S.T.U.F.F. BUS
Supplying Things U Find Fundamental
The Flagler County Education Foundation & Flagler County Public Schools are pleased to announce the S.T.U.F.F. BUS project—a surplus school bus transformed into a mobile store for “Supplying Things U Find Fundamental” to school children in need.
Imagine going without basic essentials during a time in life when peer pressure is extreme and the forming of a young person’s self-concept is important. At first glance one might perceive Flagler to be a prosperous community, but in fact many of our citizens face severe economic challenges. Our district is comprised of more than 13,000 K-12 students from over 42 different countries speaking at least 35 languages. Currently, 51 percent of our student population qualifies for free & reduced lunch; and our county has the second-highest unemployment rate in the state with a corresponding student poverty level of over 50 percent.
Our goal is to support our public school children by transforming a school bus into a mobile store that delivers basic supplies to those in need. When kids do not have those basics, learning is negatively affected. Teachers often spend their own money supplying these items to students.
The S.T.U.F.F. BUS will travel to our schools providing school supplies and other personal items such as toiletries, undergarments, shoes, clothes, jackets, and more. The bus will also travel throughout the community for “Stuff the Bus” rallies, where citizens can drop-off new supplies, and a permanent drop-off site will be located at The Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd. Bldg 2, Bunnell, FL. Monday thru Friday between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If you would like to become a sponsor, donate, provide a drop-off location, or collect items, contact us at 386.437.7526 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will be placing logos on the bus according to stuff bus sponsorship levels.
New items in need include all sizes of undergarments, clothes, kids shoes, jackets, backpacks, toiletry items and school supplies (e.g. post-it-notes, 3x5 cards, loose leaf paper, spiral notepaper, binders, crayons, pocket folders). However, our most needed items currently are the following: Shoes, clothes' for teenage boys & girls, hand sanitizer, glue sticks and dry erase markers.
